Welcome

On behalf of all the artists, staff and board trustees I would like to welcome you to Deptford X, London’s foremost annual contemporary visual arts festival. This year’s festival is just the start of a year-long programme of events that will take us up to the Olympic and Paralympic Games in 2012. Deptford X aims to be at the heart of activities within South East London, and to ensure we meet our ambitions we have appointed Hew Locke and Indra Khanna as our lead artist-curators for the festival. They are working with us over the next year to deliver a series of high quality exhibitions, public art commissions and events that will highlight the creative talent locally and nationally.
